Five Stones ~ Popular Children's Game of the 50s and 60s

Popular with children in Singapore before the onset of television and electronic games, Five Stones is a timeless game that can be played alone or with friends. The game set is small enough to carry in one's pocket and whip out to play anytime anywhere. It's great for any social occasion and is a good test of one’s dexterity.

Each set of Five Stones comes packed in a handy bag with wrist strap sewn by our elderly
from a mix of different beautiful batik fabrics.

Our Five Stones are made by our elderly using different mix of batik fabrics sewn into pouches and filled with yellow beans. Each set of Five Stones comes packed in a handy batik bag with wrist strap beautifully made as can be seen from the following sets of Five Stones which you can purchase online:

TO ORDER, email us here. Price is $9 per set including local delivery by SingPost unregistered mail. You can also buy our Five Stones at the Asian Civilisations Museum, Empress Place, at its lobby shop, to support our elderly's effort and our heritage.

Five Stones is still played today. Just watch the video below produced by Lasalle to learn how to play this easy to learn and interesting game (get straight to how to play at  1 min into the video).
